THE COMPANY
Commenda Magistrale
Commenda Magistrale is the calling card of a territory devoted to olive oil and wine production, based in Italy in the municipality of Maruggio. It was founded in the second half of the 10th century by the inhabitants of a few farmsteads that had survived the Saracen raids.
In 1270 the town became land of the Knights Templar first, and then of the Knights of Malta. The Consortium covers an area where olive groves and vineyards are cared for in accordance with the strictest methods of organic farming.
PRODUCTS
Wines
The winery is home to the renowned Primitivo di Manduria DOP, in both its dry and natural sweet versions. The range is completed by rosé and white wines typical of Salento, all IGP, with an authentic and distinctive taste.
Olive Oil
Our Extra Virgin Olive Oil is the result of an entirely organic process, with cold extraction. Still today it is produced in an oil mill with granite millstones, which enhance its extraordinary organoleptic properties.
